The muscles that cross the Ankle are so incredibly strong, and the foot itself is such an incredibly short lever arm that it is nearly impossible to force an eccentric contraction by hand or by yourself. The ProFlex attaches to the foot and creates a longer lever arm which gives the user the ability to easily generate the force needed to eccentrically stretch the muscles of the lower leg.

What People are Saying...
I was introduced to Dynamic Contraction Technique (DCT) in April 2005, since then I have worked with Nic Bartolotta to create a flexibility program that best suits me. The DCT Proflex has helped me to prepare in a way that I know I am physically ready for anything. This tool is truly amazing, light years ahead of all the the products commonly used in most athletic and fitness programs today.
Sitting in a wheelchair all day tends to keep my legs very tight. My care givers and I have learned to use the ProFlex as well as other DCT exercises as part of my weekly routine. When I use the ProFlex and do DCT it literally makes my legs feel alive. Because I broke my neck and not my lower back I have what they call Incomplete Quadriplegia, which means that I have some control of the muscles below the site of my injury, but a lot of the time my muscles are in spasm making difficult to do simple things like transfer from my wheelchair to bed. Since I have been using DCT I have noticed not only more flexibility and less spasms, but I have actually regained some strength and movement that I had lost. It has been a remarkable addition to my life, and I strongly recommend DCT and the ProFlex to anyone who wants to feel better and move better
Dynamic Contraction Technique has been an integral part of my practice for over 5 years now. As a practitioner of Oriental Medicine I have found that the DCT exercises are very useful and effective with treatments not just for orthopedic cases but all types of complaints. DCT is efficient and unique due to its integration of Acupuncture Meridian theory, utilizing the 12 main meridians, the 8 extra and the tendino-muscular channels along with western bio-mechanics. Many of my patients have experienced the effectiveness of the personal and assisted DCT exercises immediately. The personal exercises are easy to learn and a great tool for teaching my patients how to work on themselves outside of treatments and to reconnect with their bodies
